Midland Park and Library Spirit Nest

Town of Basalt, Co

“The park is intended to be a place of quiet, natural beauty punctuated with elements that highlight the nature, history, and folklore of the river via sculptures and other creative elements. Small seating and gathering venues are scattered throughout the site inviting visitors to enjoy the woods, meadow, and river. The park features three primary spaces connected by a raised walkway which allows access to the site during high water as well as winter. A Spirit Nest highlights folklore relating to the river and provides an outdoor space for library activities. A Gathering Tree bridges the emotional and physical connections people share with the river, and a splash pool allows safe, universal access to the water at the river’s edge.” Connect One Design
